Issue and Verify Medical Documents Securely

Forged medical certificates, altered lab results, and fake prescriptions put patients and institutions at risk. Issue tamper-proof medical documents with blockchain-backed verification.

Medical Document Fraud Is a Growing Threat

From fake COVID certificates to forged prescriptions for controlled substances, medical document fraud has real consequences. It enables insurance fraud, workplace abuse, and even endangers patient safety. Healthcare providers need a modern solution to prove document authenticity.

How It Works

01

Issue or Upload

Healthcare providers issue medical documents through Sealayer, or upload existing documents for verification. Each document gets a unique cryptographic hash.

02

Secure Anchoring

The document hash is anchored to the blockchain with an RFC 3161 timestamp. Patient data never leaves your systems -- only the hash is stored on-chain.

03

Verify Anywhere

Patients, employers, insurers, or other providers verify the document by scanning the QR code. Authenticity is confirmed in seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Sealayer store patient medical data?

No. Sealayer stores only the cryptographic hash of the document, not the document itself. Patient data remains entirely under the healthcare provider's control. The hash alone cannot be used to reconstruct any patient information.

How does this help with fake sick leave certificates?

When doctors issue sick leave certificates through Sealayer, each certificate receives a unique verification code. Employers can instantly verify whether a certificate was genuinely issued by the claimed doctor and has not been altered.

Is the system HIPAA and GDPR compliant?

Yes. Since Sealayer only processes document hashes and not the underlying medical data, it operates outside the scope of PHI handling. The system includes full GDPR compliance tools for data export and erasure.

Can pharmacies verify prescriptions through Sealayer?

Yes. If prescriptions are issued through Sealayer, pharmacies can verify them instantly by scanning the QR code, reducing the risk of forged or altered prescriptions for controlled substances.

How does this integrate with existing hospital information systems?

Sealayer provides a REST API that integrates with any HIS or EHR system. Documents can be automatically anchored as they are generated, with no change to existing clinical workflows.
