Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sealayer platform and services ("Services") provided by Bright Bytes Technology LLC ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Sealayer provides AI-powered document verification, fraud detection, and cryptographic document anchoring services through three core products:

• Cases: AI-powered document analysis and fraud detection for organisations that need to verify document authenticity at scale.
• Issuance: Cryptographic document issuance with blockchain anchoring, enabling organisations to issue tamper-proof, verifiable documents.
• Verify: A public verification portal that allows anyone to verify the authenticity of documents issued or analysed through the Sealayer platform.

Disclaimer: Sealayer does not guarantee the legal validity of any document or the accuracy of fraud detection results. Our analysis is provided as an assessment tool and should not be treated as a definitive legal determination.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, maintain the security of your password, and promptly update your account information. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload documents you do not have the right to process.
• Upload malware or malicious files.
• Impersonate any person or organisation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
• Use the Services to generate, validate, or legitimise fraudulent documents.
• Exceed the usage limits of your plan through automated means or abuse.

5. Document Processing

5.1 Your Documents

You retain all rights to the documents you upload to the platform. By using the Services, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and analyse your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

5.2 Accuracy Disclaimer

The results provided by our document analysis and fraud detection tools are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. You should not rely solely on our analysis for legal, regulatory, or compliance decisions.

5.3 Blockchain Anchoring

When documents are anchored to the Polygon blockchain, the resulting cryptographic hashes are permanent and cannot be deleted or modified. By using the anchoring features of the Services, you acknowledge and accept the immutable nature of blockchain records.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis through Stripe. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for the current billing period. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price changes take effect.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, content, trademarks, and documentation, are the property of Bright Bytes Technology LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bright Bytes Technology LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Document verification results are provided as analytical assessments and should not be considered definitive legal determinations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bright Bytes Technology LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason at our reasonable discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately, though provisions that by nature should survive will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days notice for material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and notifying registered users by email. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
